utah

This pretty much sums up our little trip to Utah.  I had a great time even though most of the pictures are of Cora having a great time.

Cora went for a few snowy walks around and up the canyon in a half-empty double-stroller.  It really was warmer than it looks.

Cora played with cousins Ava and Lola.  Cora warmed up to the girls quickly, but this picture doesn't show that.

Cora played with my sister and sister-in-law.

Cora played dolly and bear with her cousin Roman.  They'll have to meet again because she never really looked him in the face.

Cora watched her cousins run on the treadmill AND fall off the treadmill.

Cora had an audience as she got ready for the day.

Cora balanced in Grandpa's hands.  (Now I gotta find the picture of me as baby doing that.)

Cora ate in the highchair and slept in the crib that I did as a baby.

Cora taught Grandma how to pay bills.

Cora went to the track with Grandpa.   I went too.

Cora got Brent to practice his babysitting skills.

Cora watched the twins dress up like movie stars with their winter accessories.

Cora messed up their nap time too.

Cora obviously spent way too much time with Ava.

Cora slept as we wrapped ourselves in ace bandages.  Lola is sporting the toddler girdle.

Cora slept as we tucked Grandma in bed.  (Or at least Ava did over and over and over again.)

Cora laughed and laughed as we put her in luggage and took pictures.

It was a blast.  Thanks to everyone that put up with me and Cora.  It was good to see family and friends.  I sure hope it won't be too long before we see you again.

First Week of School

So as most of you know this past week I started school again after my long three week winter break.  As a part of my first week back to school, I kicked it off by kicking out of the house to go visit her family in Utah.  Although, she practically kicked herself out because she was so excited to go and visit her family and friends. Now even though, it has been lonely without my two girls I have had a good time learning a few things about myself.  I first started the week off learning that I like hockey.  It is a great game to watch, especially none other than your Philadelphia Flyers (courtesy of a good friend) while seating in a company suite.  NEXT.....  I learned that I am a BANANA-BINGER.  Im sure that some of you that know me know that I like bananas.  As a matter of fact, my mom used to get mad at me because I would eat nearly a whole bunch in a day or two.  Well, I learned that eating that many bananas frequently is very bad for you causing your heart to go crazy.

Speaking of hearts......  I also learned that I like dissecting hearts.  This is a pigs heart and it is about twice the size of my hands open.  It was awesome to see inside of it and actually take in the appreciation and complexity of the human body.  All in all, these things made for a good week.

alarm clock

This is what I wake up to every morning.

back at it

The past 3 weeks have flown by.  It was so nice to have Ryan around more and I'm sure he thought it was nice to have a break from school.  Our plan to get lots of extra sleep was a joke because of the crankiness of teething and the aftermath of vaccinations.  Good timing.  Regardless, we enjoyed our time together.  Ryan is already back to classes and studying hard.

Cora has started eating food.  She really likes it.  She even screams between bites because I am not fast enough with the spoon.
