so proud of Ryan

While Ryan's parents were in town, we ventured to Valley Forge.  Apparently, I just took pictures of my kids while we were there. It was a fun day and perfect weather.

Woah, May was busy.  Ryan graduated!  I am so proud of him and all of his hardwork.  He is very deserving of his diploma AND the awards he received.  Ryan was honored at luncheon the day prior to  graduation in addition to the graduation ceremony itself.  Ryan's parents and grandparents were able too make the trip out to Philadelphia for the event.

Grandma and Papa with baby Vera.
Vera chewing on the program.
Ryan shaking hands with the Dean.  Our friends worked at graduation and somehow saved the third row in the huge Theatre for us!

Ryan and one of his best buds.
so happy!

The whole crew.  See that sleeping baby? She just about made me miss the ceremony due to a huge poo seconds before  it was to start.  I ran out with Vera and they made me wait forever before they would let me back in.

the tallest graduate of the day.....just kidding, well, maybe.

After graduation I finished packing up and I took the girls and headed out.  This was the last photo I took in Philadelphia.

flash lights and candles

Christmas came early for Ryan.  He got a really really really expensive flash light (for school, of course).  I guess it's not just any flash light...he can see the back of my eyes from across the room.  He was so excited to check it out that it was hard to get him to look at me to take a picture.  I can only imagine that Cora and I are going to be his testing subjects for years to come.

It is great living in the same city as my oldest brother, Krister.  We haven't lived this close to one another since I was like in 2nd grade or something.  We celebrated his birthday this weekend Anderson style with candles on a chocolate cake with unsweetened whipped cream and hot chocolate sauce.  I can't express how happy I am to have Krister and Sheri nearby.  I really do live in the City of Brotherly Love.  haha.

practice makes perfect

This weekend Ryan needed to practice for an exam.  Jana was in town so we volunteered to be his practice patients.  It was fun to see the practice exam rooms.  The ultra blurry pic is posted to show the lighting in the room.

And something funny....when we put Cora in the chair, we overheard some other students that said, "Look, there's a doll."  Then they said, "Woah, it's a real baby."
